Hasbro’s Jabba’s Sail Barge Has Arrived – Here Are the Video Reviews

This month, Hasbro began delivering their very first crowdfunded Star Wars collectible – Jabba’s Sail Barge, the Khetanna.

At over four feet long, the Khetanna was easily the most elaborate vehicle ever made for 3 3/4″ Star Wars figures, rivaling Hasbro’s iconic G.I. Joe USS Flagg aircraft carrier for sheer size and audacity.

For such an undertaking, Hasbro created Haslab, what they describe as “a crowdfunding platform for dream products.” Last year, they announced the Sail Barge as their first project, announcing that it would be made only if 5,000 orders (at $500 each) were placed by April 3, 2018. By the deadline, 8,810 orders were placed, and production on the Khetanna began.

Reviews of the Sail Barge, which weighs in at over 13 pounds, have been overwhelmingly positive. The design and craftsmanship are first-rate, with the real genius seen in the attention to detail.

The Khetanna even includes a Jabba the Hutt figure, as well as a Yak Face figure in Vintage Collection packaging. The Sail Barge was released as part of the Vintage Collection, in retro-style packaging.

Hasbro has given no indication that more Barges will be made for collectors who missed out last year. However, Barges will be offered to international customers later this spring. It is unclear if U.S. collectors will be able to take advantage of that stock.
