Toys ‘R’ Us Mascot Geoffrey Gets a New (And Weird) Funko Pop
Toys ‘R’ Us may be gone – for Americans, anyway – but Funko just cannot let Geoffrey the Giraffe go.
It seems the beloved toy store icon has a new job – with the Avengers.
FanExpo Canada is coming up this August, and Funko has announced that they will offer a FanExpo exclusive Pop of Geoffrey as Iron Man. In case you haven’t heard, Toys ‘R’ Us still operates in Canada, so the Pop will be a shared exclusive with their stores, as well as with Funko Shop (so American collectors can get one as well).
Funko describes the exclusive Pop this way:
The beloved Toys“R”Us mascot, Geoffrey the Giraffe is taking a break from the toy industry to give the Super Hero business a shot. The Geoffrey as Iron Man Pop! is a FanExpo Canada exclusive, which will be shared with Funko Shop and Toys”R”Us Canada! There’s no word yet on whether Geoffrey will officially be offered a place with the Avengers.
No word yet on when it will be made available to non-con attendees.
