Woman Hospitalized After She Saw ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and Began Crying Uncontrollably
The ending of Avengers: Endgame was too much for one woman to handle.
A 21-year-old university student in the city of Ningbo, China was one of many who attended first-day screenings of Avengers: Endgame, the final film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe story arc that has encompassed 22 films over the last decade.
The woman, named Xiaoli, became emotional at the film’s ending, and began crying uncontrollably. She could not be consoled and began hyperventilating, to the point where she had trouble breathing. Her hands and feet went numb, and she was unable to move them.
Medical assistance was called and the woman was transported to a local hospital. She was given oxygen in a bid to calm her down. Her current condition, however, is not known.
The woman isn’t the only one losing their cool over the movie, which pits the Avengers and other superheroes in a final showdown against Thanos, who obliterated half of the universe with the snap of his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War. Fans in China turned out in droves for the film’s opening, breaking the record for a movie’s first day with over $107 million in tickets sold.
