Star Wars Documentary ‘Empire of Dreams’ Now Playing on Amazon Prime

In our opinion, Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy is the best documentary ever made about the making of the original Star Wars trilogy, and it is now available to watch on Amazon Prime!

Directed by Kevin Burns and Edith Becker, Empire of Dreams was first included on the 2004 DVD release of the Star Wars Trilogy, and features rare photographs and video, as well as extensive interviews with the cast and crew, including many who have since passed away.

There’s a particular focus on the making of the first film and the challenges they faced. Pictures and interviews show the founding of Industrial Light and Magic, and detail the groundbreaking work they did on the film.
