Upper Deck loses NFL license

Upper Deck has announced that it has lost its NFL license after failing to come to an agreement with the league. That means no more UD football cards from now on. After losing its baseball license recently, that means the card maker only has hockey of the four major sports under its control.

With Topps also out of the NFL picture, that leaves newcomer Panini as the only NFL card maker. Panini also makes basketball and hockey cards. It’s too bad, even though they had issues with some collectors, Upper Deck really did revolutionize the industry and made card collecting better for all.
