First look at the awesome 2011 Topps Allen and Ginter Baseball
Topps has released images of their upcoming Allen and Ginter set and it looks fantastic. The base card (shown here) is a mix of classic A&G styling with some modern graphics, but it works. Cards of historical and other non-sport figures will again be featured, and at least three “hits” (autograph or relic cards) will come in each box. There will even be a relic card featuring a strand of Geronimo’s hair! In keeping with their tradition of quirky cards, Topps will also include “seed” cards in Allen & Ginter packs, which Topps says will grow into the plant featured on the card if you plant it. The set is due in stores in July.
