The ‘Tom & Jerry meet Willy Wonka’ movie trailer kills an Oompa-Loompa every time it’s watched
Somebody needs to grab an executive at Warner Bros. and tell them YOU ARE NOT A MUSIC MAKER. YOU ARE NOT THE DREAMER OF THE DREAMS.
How in God’s name did someone allow a cheap, animated remake of the 1971 Gene Wilder classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory to be made? Worse yet, who then allowed cheaply-animated versions of Tom and Jerry to be inserted randomly into the film? Whoever did is a bad egg. Or Slugworth. Or needs to be force-fed Fizzy Lifting drinks and be allowed to drift into an industrial ceiling fan.
There isn’t even a clever spin on the title. It’s just called Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It seems they put as much effort into the title as they did the animation. It’s coming out on DVD, but we are kind of surprised it isn’t a VHS-only release. Amazon doesn’t even have a listing for it. It’s like they don’t want to even admit it exists.
Watch this abomination and listen for the cries of terror from Oompa-Loompas as it plays.
Why, Warner Bros., WHY?
