‘Stargate SG-1’ Actor Carmen Argenziano Has Died
Carmen Argenziano, known to millions of “Stargate SG-1” fans as the character Gen. Jacob Carter, has passed away at the age of 75.
TMZ was the first to report Argenziano’s passing, which was confirmed by his personal appearance agency, Event Horizon Talent, and his agent. A cause of death, however, has not been announced.
Carmen Argenziano was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania on October 27, 1943. He appeared in dozens of films and TV shows, including big screen roles in The Godfather Part II and the Dirty Harry film Sudden Impact.
Among his TV show appearances were “The Rockford Files,” “Lou Grant,” “Heartbeat,” “Booker,” “L.A. Law,” “Melrose Place,” “Sisters,” “CSI: NY,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The Bionic Woman,” “House M.D.,” “Criminal Minds,” “Castle,” and “Hawaii 5-0.”
Amanda Tapping mourned the loss in a statement posted to Twitter.
