Spider-Man Coming to ‘Avengers’ Video Game as a Playstation Exclusive
Spider-Man is coming to the hit “Marvel’s Avengers” video game – but only if you own a Playstation.
In an announcement on the Playstation website, Crystal Dynamics Associate Art Director Jeff Adams revealed the details of the web-slinger’s appearance in the game.
Spider-Man will team up with Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Black Widow in the game in early 2021. He will be a free addition to the base game in both the PS4 and PS5 versions. Xbox owners are, sadly, out of luck.
According to the announcement, Spider-Man will be able to access “custom web shooter-based technology from Hank Pym, SHIELD, Stark Industries, and more.” Adams also said that the Spider-Man costume will show the influence of Marvel artists Steve Ditko and John Romita Sr., who crafted the character’s classic look in the comic books. Alternate outfits will also be available.
“Marvel’s Avengers” releases on PS4 on September 4, 2020. It releases on PS5 during the Christmas holiday.
