Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Set Pics Reveal Indira Varma’s Role
The Star Wars live-action series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is currently filming in Los Angeles, and pictures taken at the set captured actor Ewan McGregor and other cast members in costume.
Pictures taken at the set were posted online by Just Jared. While McGregor appeared to be wearing his traditional Jedi tunic under a black robe, actress Indira Varma (“Game of Thrones”) was also captured in costume, and it reveals some possible key points about the plot of series.
Varma’s casting was announced in March, just before filming began, so it appears she may have a significant role in the series if she is still on the set.
In the set pics, Varma was photographed wearing a robe as well, but as the picture below shows, she was covering her Imperial officer uniform, including the distinctive hat seen in the original trilogy.
In an interview for Variety with “The Mandalorian” actor Pedro Pascal, McGregor revealed that original trilogy Stormtroopers would appear in the series. It makes sense, then, that Imperial officers would appear as well, although many fans did not expect Varma would be one of them.
Here are pictures of Ewan McGregor on the ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ set.
Stormtroopers were also caught moving around the set.
