New ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Trailer Released

A new trailer for season four of Netflix’s Stranger Things is here, introducing a demonic new villain for the kids of Hawkins, Indiana.

It’s almost three full years since season three dropped, but if the new trailer is an indicator, season four will be worth the wait. The official synopsis for season four outlines the plot: “It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time — and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

The fourth season will include nine episodes, with the season being split into two parts. “Volume 1” of season four premieres on May 27, and “Volume 2” will debut on July 1. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer have referred to the epic scope of season four as a “Game of Thrones season.” Different characters will play out multiple storylines in many different locations.

Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, and Joe Keery.
