‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ Teaser Trailer Released
Agent Ethan Hunt is back, almost. The teaser trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One has finally arrived, even if the movie itself is more than a year away.
The seventh entry in the acclaimed movie series is actually the first of a two-part story, and follows up the events in Fallout, released in 2018. Perhaps most notable about the trailer is the appearance by Henry Czerny’s Kittridge, last seen in the original 1996 film. He warns Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt “Your days of fighting for the so-called greater good are over,” he says. “This is our chance to control the truth – the concepts of right and wrong for everyone for centuries to come. You’re fighting to save an ideal that doesn’t exist. It never did. You need to pick a side.”
Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, and Hayley Atwell star in the film, which opens on July 14, 2023. Part Two will open in theaters on June 28, 2024. Both films experienced delays due to the pandemic, and to make room for Cruise’s other big release, Top Gun: Maverick, which opens this month.
Here’s the trailer.
