Check out the first trailer for ‘John Wick 4’

It’s been a while, but Keanu Reeves is back in the first trailer for John Wick 4. The follow up to 2019’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum hits theaters next year, and Lionsgate dropped the first trailer in the middle of the San Diego Comic Con.

Lionsgate first released an image from the film on Thursday (seen below), and then followed that up with a full-blown trailer. Reeves made an appearance at Comic Con during a panel on directors at which director Chad Stahelski was speaking.

In addition to Reeves, returning for this installment are Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, and Lance Reddick. They will be joined by new cast members Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgard, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, and Clancy Brown, as Wick takes on the members of the High Table who labeled him “excommunicado” and put a bounty on his head. Chad Stahelski is returning to direct.

The film opens March 24, 2023, and comes just as the John Wick universe is expanding. The spinoff film Ballerina is in pre-production, starring Ana de Armas as an assassin seeking revenge on those who killed her family. Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard) directs. In addition, Starz is also working on the prequel series The Continental. Set in the 1970s, the series follows the early days of the New York branch of The Continental Hotel, and will star Mel Gibson, Katie McGrath, and Colin Woodell as a young Winston Scott, the character played by Ian McShane in the John Wick films.

Here’s the trailer.
