‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ Animated Series Coming to Disney+
Lucasfilm has announced “The Bad Batch,” a new Star Wars animated series from executive producer Dave Filoni coming to the Disney+ streaming service.
Set in the aftermath of the Clone Wars, the series will follow the elite clones known as the Bad Batch, who were first introduced in “The Clone Wars” animated series. The clones find themselves in a rapidly changing galaxy with the end of the war. Each member of the Bad Batch possesses a singular exceptional skill, which they use to become mercenaries.

“Giving new and existing fans the final chapter of Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been our honor at Disney+, and we are overjoyed by the global response to this landmark series,” said Agnes Chu, senior vice president, Content, Disney+. “While The Clone Wars may have come to its conclusion, our partnership with the groundbreaking storytellers and artists at Lucasfilm Animation is only beginning. We are thrilled to bring Dave Filoni’s vision to life through the next adventures of the Bad Batch.”
“The Bad Batch” comes as two Star Wars animated series end. Fans watched the end of the acclaimed “The Clone Wars” series, which aired its final episodes earlier this spring. The other Star Wars animated series, “Resistance,” was not as well received and is also ending its run.
Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian) serves as executive producer, alongside Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, and Jennifer Corbett. Carrie Beck serves as co-executive producer and Josh Rimes is a producer. Rau will be supervising director and Corbett is the head writer.
