Chuck Norris To Make Rare Convention Appearance
If you’ve ever wanted to meet action movie legend Chuck Norris, now’s your chance! The Walker, Texas Ranger actor will be making a rare convention appearance at the Dallas Comic Show on December 17-18!
The Dallas Comic Show Weekend of Cheer will be held at Music City Mall in Lewisville, Texas (just north of downtown Dallas) on December 17-18, 2022. While Norris usually only makes one-day appearances, his Dallas appearance will be a rare Saturday and Sunday signing. You can visit the Dallas Comic Show website by clicking here.
According to the folks at the Dallas Comic Show, Chuck will be sign for about five hours each day (including breaks), beginning around noon each day. He will sign for approximately 300 to 400 fans each day, so if you want to be ensured of an autograph, it is recommended that attendees purchase a VIP pass, which will put you at the front of the autograph line. General admission attendees will follow VIP attendees.
Note that, due to COVID concerns, fans are asked to refrain from asking for handshakes or hugs from Norris. Autograph or photo fees are as follows: $100 for an 8X10 photo (photos will be available), $100 for a picture with Chuck (with your camera), and $130 for Funko Pops, movie posters, and oversized or personal items. Items like gis, belts, boxing gloves, karate equipment, or prop weapons may be limited to one per person for signatures, and count as oversized items.
All payments are cash only; no credit cards. An ATM will be available on-site, although attendees are encouraged to bring cash.
While Chuck Norris achieved legendary status during his run on the CBS series Walker, Texas Ranger, his career spans back to the 1970s, when he went face-to-face with Bruce Lee in Way of the Dragon. His other films include Good Guys Wear Black, Silent Rage, and Lone Wolf McQuade.
In the 1980s, Norris defined the action genre with hits like the Missing in Action film series, Code of Silence, Invasion USA, The Delta Force, and Hero and the Terror. After his run on Walker, which lasted for nine seasons (1993-2001) and 196 episodes, Norris solidified his action icon status with his role in The Expendables 2 (2012).
Among the other guests scheduled to appear are True Lies actor Tom Arnold, Boondock Saints and Young Indiana Jones actor Sean Patrick Flanery, Machete actor Billy Blair, comic book artists Sam de la Rosa, Kristian Donaldson, and Ariel Diaz, and Dragon Ball voice actors Bryan Massey and Stephanie Nadolny.
