Neal Adams, Mike Zeck, Larry Hama Headline North Texas Comic Book Show Feb. 2-3

Legendary artist Neal Adams leads an impressive guest list for The North Texas Comic Book Show, to be held February 2-3 at the Irving Convention Center.

Fans of the Batman artist will also find a number of classic comic artists, inkers, and writers in attendance. The guest list includes Spider-Man artist Mike Zeck and G.I. Joe writer Harry Hama.

Fans of the original Marvel Secret Wars miniseries will also be to meet artist Mike Zeck and inker John Beatty.

Fans of the “Kraven’s Last Hunt” story arc will be able to get their books signed by Zeck, as well as writer J.M. DeMatteis and artist Bob McLeod, who will also attend.

Among the guests scheduled to appear at the show are:

Neal Adams – The iconic Batman artist also worked on Action Comics, Avengers, The Brave and the Bold, Detective Comics, Green Lantern, Superman, World’s Finest and The X-Men.

Mike Zeck – The Marvel and DC artist’s work can be seen in Deathstroke, Spider-Man, Secret Wars, The Punisher, Batman, and Captain America.

J.M. DeMatteis – As a writer for both Marvel and DC, DeMatteis has written for Superman, Amazing Spider-Man, Justice League America, Spectacular Spider-Man, The Defenders, Captain America, and many more.

Bob McLeod – The co-creator of the New Mutants also showcased his art in Action Comics, Amazing Spider-Man, GI Joe, Captain America, Nightwing, The Incredible Hulk, and Wonder Woman.

Graham Nolan – The co-creator of the Batman villain Bane worked most notably on the Batman story arcs Knightfall and Knightquest. He has worked on other titles including The Phantom, Hawkworld, and JLA Vs. Predator. He recently teamed up with Chuck Dixon for Bane: Conquest, and he publishes the web comic Sunshine State.

Tony Isabella – The creator of Black Lightning for DC also created Black Goliath and Misty Knight for Marvel. His other Marvel work includes Ghost Rider, Astonishing Tales (“It, The Living Colossus”), Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Captain America. He also wrote Justice Machine for Comico.

Amy Chu – The prolific writer has been featured in Green Hornet, Dejah Thoris: Princess of Mars, Red Sonja, Catalyst Prime SUMMIT, KISS comics, the Poison Ivy mini-series, and has also written Wonder Woman, Emma Frost, Deadpool, and Ant-Man stories. She also co-founded Alpha Girl Comics.

Al Milgrom – Co-creator of the original Firestorm (with Gerry Conway). His credits include Marvel Fanfare, Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man, West Coast Avengers, X-Factor, and Captain Marvel. He has penciled Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, West Coast Avengers, Mephisto, Secret Wars II, Kitty Pride & Wolverine, Spectacular Spider-Man, and Incredible Hulk. He has inked Thor, Thunderstrike, Captain America, Uncanny X-Men, J-2, and Thanos.

Larry Hama – The former Marvel editor and writer co-created Bucky O’Hare, but is best known for creating the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero comic book universe. He even wrote the backstory for each character in the line of action figures.

Joe Staton – The co-creator of The Omega Men also had a long run on Green Lantern. He also worked on Guy Gardner, Power Girl, Huntress, The New Guardians, E Man, and the revival of the Justice Society of America. He also drew the Dick Tracy newspaper strip.

Keith Pollard – The prolific artist did cover art on Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil, The Fantastic Four, and The Mighty Thor. He has also provided art in Amazing Adventures, Astonishing Tales, The Avengers, Black Goliath, Captain America, Eternals, Green Lantern, Iron Man, and Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Denys Cowan – The co-founder of Milestone Media and TV producer has been an artist on the Black Panther mini-series, The Question, and the “Blind Justice” story arc in Detective Comics.
