Samuel L. Jackson DEFENDS Myles Garrett’s Helmet Attack in Twitter Rant – Blames Quarterback (VIDEO)
Oscar-nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson is defending Myles Garrett, after the Cleveland Browns defensive end savagely hit Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph with his own helmet in Thursday night’s game.
In the final seconds of the game between the Browns and the Steelers Thursday night, Garrett slammed Rudolph into the ground. Rudolph took offense, and tried to grab at Garrett’s helmet. Garrett also got upsrt, but he managed to yank Rudolph’s helmet off of his head (after several yanks) and then proceeded to hit him with it.
That started a melee which resulted in three players being ejected. Friday morning, Garrett was suspended for the rest of the year.
Here is video of the incident.
Not long after the incident happened, Jackson took to Twitter and give his hot take. Unfortunately, it was a garbage take.
The 70-year-old actor tried to justify Garrett’s actions, and placed the blame on Rudolph.
Jackson’s first tweet was aimed directly at the quarterback for “starting” the fight. He also took offense at the commentators, who called Garrett’s actions “barbaric.”
Later, after rudolph called Garrett’s actions “cowardly” and Bush league,” Jackson went off again on Twitter.
“’Cowardly & BushLeague’ from the dude that started it?? Really,” Jackson tweeted. “& did he say “Bitch” while trying to get up? 3 Steelers 1 Brown, QB being Aggro….played badly, fought worse!”
The response from fans was immediate, and most roasted Jackson for his comments. The actor, however, refused to back down.
As of Friday evening, Jackson’s tweets were still online, though he has not tweeted since.
