Watch ‘Hulk’ Actor Mark Ruffalo Call Trump ‘Public Enemy Number One’ (VIDEO)
Avengers actor Mark Ruffalo, known to fans as the always-angry Hulk, is furious at President Donald Trump, calling him “public enemy number one” over his stance on the environment.
In a video interview with British media outlet Sky News (and included below), Ruffalo criticizes the President for not doing enough to combat climate change.
Ruffalo was promoting his new movie Dark Waters, a true story about an American corporation contaminating the environment. His most passionate words, however, were directed in anger at President Trump.
“I think the world should consider my president as public enemy number one at this point,” Ruffalo said when the reporter offered an opinion that Trump did not believe in climate change.
The actor also said America needed to do more, even though countries including China and India are the world’s leading polluters, and America leads large industrialized nations in cutting emissions and switching to cleaner sources of energy. “What we do probably in the next ten years will be crucial to the future of the planet, and this is only gonna become more and more evident to us,” he said. “We’re not, we’re not going backwards from here.”
When the eager reporter said there were no superheroes to fight climate change, Ruffalo claimed there were, offering up teenage activist Greta Thunberg and the radical, chaotic protest group Extinction Rebellion as heroes for the environment.
Ruffalo also suggested activists get more radical. “We have to make people uncomfortable. We’re gonna have to get radical. We’re gonna have to do peaceful demonstration. Peaceful protest, peaceful actions that stop the system.”
Ruffalo has long been a critic of President Trump as well as capitalism. , who is worth an estimated $30 million, said in December that there needs to be an economic revolution because capitalism is “failing us.”
He is active politically, having supported abortion rights and opposing Israel’s efforts to secure its borders. Last year, he suggested President Bush a war criminal. He also spoke to 9/11 “Truther” groups, and suggested the World Trade Center buildings may not have come down because of the crashing planes.
He supports anti-fracking efforts and says the Zika virus may have been created and released by a British biotech firm. He also supported a petition to push NBC to ban white conservatives from the network.
He supports Bernie Sanders for President and is personally worth over $30 million dollars.
He is video of his recent comments to Sky News.
The President has not responded to Ruffalo’s comments.
