Tom Hanks is returning to the World War II movie genre in the upcoming film Greyhound, which tells a true story of a Naval captain’s battle against German U-boats. The first trailer for the film, which opens in theaters this June, is included below.

Here’s the synopsis for the film, released by Columbia Pictures.

In the early days of WWII, an international convoy of 37 Allied ships, led by captain Ernest Krause (Tom Hanks) in his first command of a U.S. destroyer, crosses the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by wolf packs of Nazi U-boats.

The film is directed by Aaron Schneider, and Hanks wrote the screenplay, based on the novel “The Good Shepherd” by C. S. Forester.
