Morpheus could be Cowboy Carl once again
This was news a few months back but I somehow missed it. Anyway, it’s worth repeating. Lawrence Fishburne – aka Morpheus from the Matrix – was not able to reprise his role as Cowboy Carl in Pee Wee Herman’s Broadway revival of his “Playhouse” TV show, but says he is up for the role if a new movie is made.
“I will absolutely suit up, put on the jheri-curl, get the guitar… I love him, he’s the real deal,” the actor said. His role on “CSI” prevented him from playing the role onstage. The new onstage version of “Playhouse” finished an LA run and will move to Broadway later this year.
