Disney’s Star Wars ‘Galaxy’s Edge’ Theme Park Reveals the Millennium Falcon

Walt Disney Parks are making significant progress in the construction of “Galaxy’s Edge,” the Star Wars theme parks being built simultaneously at both Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Last year, we reported on the various attractions and rides going up, which seemed very unfinished at the time. That included what appeared to be a hangar of some sort with Imperial AT-ATs being built inside.

Here are pictures from July of 2017, showing the structures of the AT-ATs inside.

In this picture, the heads to the AT-ATs could be seen just outside of the hangar.

Here, the AT-ATs can be seen facing the camera, after the heads were added.

Galaxy’s Edge is opening at California’s Disneyland in the summer of 2019. It opens at Florida’s Disney World in fall of 2019.

In this picture tweeted out by the official Star Wars Twitter account, a full scale Millennium Falcon is seen at an attraction at Galaxy’s Edge.

At Orlando’s Disney World, Galaxy’s Edge will be an extension of the Hollywood Studios park that opened in 1989. The park already hosts several Star Wars rides and attractions, including “Star Tours.”
