New ‘Stranger Things’ Teaser Reveals Season 3 Premiere Date (VIDEO)

Netflix has released a teaser trailer for season 3 of “Stranger Things,” and it at last reveals when our long wait for new episodes will finally end.

The teaser, included below, accompanied the release of a poster which shows the cast members celebrating the 4th of July, complete with fireworks. Both the poster and the teaser reveal July 4, 2019 as the release date for season 3.

Very few details have been released about the new season, which required additional time to film and a delay of over six months. Season 2 premiered October 27, 2017.

The teaser revealed that season 3 will take place in 1985, a year after the events of season 2. The words “When Yellow and Blue Meet in the West” and “Run Program: SilverCatFeeds.exe” are seen in the teaser, but their meaning is not clear. In early December, Netflix released the titles for the ten episodes of season 3 (click here to read them).

Millie Bobbie Brown (Eleven), Noah Schapp (Will), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), and Sadie Sink (Max) are all featured in the poster, and all return to reprise their roles. David Harbour (Sheriff Jim Hopper), Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) and Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) also return. Sean Astin (Bob) and Shannon Purser (Barb), unfortunately, probably will not appear this season, for obvious reasons.
