‘Airwolf’ Star Jan-Michael Vincent Has Died

Jan-Michael Vincent, who rose to stardom on the hit 1980s TV show “Airwolf,” has died at the age of 74.

According to a report by TMZ, Vincent actually died nearly a month ago, on February 10, in a North Carolina hospital. His passing, however, is only now coming to the attention of media.

“Airwolf” made Vincent a household name and the highest-paid actor on television, pulling in $200,000 per episode. His drug use at the time, however, cut his series, and his career, short.

In recent years, Vincent suffered a number of setbacks with his health, many tied to his drug and alcohol abuse. In 2012, an infection that almost killed him forced doctors to amputate his right leg.

According to his death certificate, Vincent died after suffering a cardiac arrest while hospitalized in North Carolina. He was later cremated.

Our condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of Jan-Michael Vincent.
