New ‘Star Wars’ Hot Wheels Announced (UPDATED)
Update: new images of the new Star Wars Hot Wheels in-hand have been posted to Twitter (see below), so it appears both waves are hitting shelves now!
Mattel’s line of Star Wars Hot Wheels have been incredibly popular, filling a void collectors have felt since Hasbro’s line of “Titanium” vehicles ended. In 2019, Mattel is expanding the line, including vehicles from the new “Resistance” animated series.
The first wave of new vehicles, however, will come from the feature films, all sporting the first appearance of some iconic vehicles.
The first wave, labeled “Mix 1,” will include the following:
*General Grievousâ„¢ Wheel Bikeâ„¢ (First appearance!)
*Sandcrawlerâ„¢ (First appearance!)
*TIE Bomberâ„¢ (First appearance!)
The second wave, titled “Mix 2,” will feature the first vehicles from the “Star Wars: Resistance” animated series. It will include:
*Hype Fazon’sâ„¢ Green Aceâ„¢ (First appearance!)
*Kaz’sâ„¢ Fireballâ„¢ (First appearance!)
*Torra Doza’sâ„¢ Blue Aceâ„¢ (First appearance!)
