Harrison Ford Reveals When ‘Indiana Jones 5’ Will Start Filming
Harrison Ford has revealed when he will once again don the iconic fedora for Indiana Jones 5.
According to a report by Variety, Ford talked with reporters at the premiere for The Secret Life of Pets 2, in which he voices a character.
Among other things, Ford discussed attending the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland last week. He called the Millennium Falcon ride “incredible.”
“I think it works better than the one we used to use for the movies,” he said.
When asked about the status of Indiana Jones 5, Ford revealed what fans have been wanting to hear since the release of 2008’s Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He confirmed the new film “should be starting to shoot sometime next year,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to it,” he told Variety. “Things are coming along well.”
Last year, Lucasfilm announced that the planned July 2020 release of the film had been delayed. No new release date had been set.
Details of the new film, including the plot, are not known. A title has also not been announced.
Variety initially reported that filming will begin next week, but it appears Ford was misquoted, as Variety has corrected their original report.
