Smallville’s Erica Durance to Appear in the CW ‘Crisis’ Crossover – Here’s Her Reaction!

Just one day after Smallville’s Tom Welling was announced as a cast member for the upcoming CW “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event, his former co-star Erica Durance is joining him as well, reprising her role as Lois Lane.

Durance, who played Lois in seven of the series’ ten seasons, has recently been the lead character in the medical drama “Saving Hope.” It is not clear if she and Welling will be the only “Smallville” actors reuniting for the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover, which involves a number of multiple universes.

Welling is joining Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and Tyler Hoechlin (“Supergirl”) as actors playing Superman from alternate realities. Joining Durance will be Elizabeth Tulloch, who is playing the “Supergirl” version of Lois Lance.

This will actually be Durance’s second appearance in the “Arrowverse,” which is made up of the CW’s DC shows. She had previously appeared on “Supergirl” as Alura Zor-El, mosther of Supergirl/Kara (Melissa Benoist).

The “Crisis” crossover will include characters from “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” “Supergirl,” and the upcoming “Batwoman.” However, it was also just revealed that characters from the CW’s “Black Lightning” will appear in the “Arrowverse” crossover for the first time.

More Superhero Actor Crossovers

Also appearing in the “Crisis” crossover is Burt Ward (Batman ’66) in an unannounced role. Kevin Conroy (the voice of Batman in “Batman: The Animated Series”) will appear as an older Bruce Wayne.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths” will air in five parts across the “Arrowverse” series: It begins Dec. 8 with “Supergirl,” followed by “Batwoman” on December 9 and “The Flash” on December 10. Part 4 will air on “Arrow” and end with “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” both on January 14.

Durance tweeted about her appearance earlier today.
