New ‘Star Trek: Picard’ Trailer Debuts at NYCC
If you aren’t already excited for the new “Star Trek: Picard” series from CBS All Access, the new trailer just may convince you.
The trailer made its debut at New York Comic Con Saturday, and features a mix of old and new characters. It is set in a future that looks a lot like Abrams’ universe (which is deliberate, for those of you not following the drama around that). It’s cool to see the classic characters back in action, even if Data’s hair looks a bit off.
The show’s debut date on CBS All Access was also announced: January 23, 2020.
Set 20 years after the “Next Generation” adventures, Picard is now retired at his family vineyard. Hi retirement is interrupted by a mysterious young woman (Isa Briones) who says she is danger and needs his help. After turning to Starfleet for help, he assembles a new crew on a mission to protect her.

The cast includes (besides Stewart) Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, and Jonathan Del Arco.
