Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Won’t Return as Killer Croc for New ‘Suicide Squad’

Yet another actor will not return for James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad,” the follow up to the 2016 DC comic book movie.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will return to play Killer Croc for the new film, due in theaters on August 6, 2021.

The 51-year-old actor doesn’t seem to upset about it, according to a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment. He spent five hours every day in makeup to create the character, so he was in no rush to do that again. He is. however, grateful for the opportunity.

“I don’t think I need to [do it again], to be honest,” he told Yahoo. “I did it, I enjoyed it, it bought me a Bentley and I will keep moving on.”

The actors who (so far) will not be appearing in the film include Will Smith (whose character of Deadshot will not appear in the film), Jared Leto (Joker), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Jay Hernandez (Diablo), and Cara Delevigne (Enchantress) will not appear, although some characters can’t return, for obvious reasons.

In addition to Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) are all returning.

He did not reveal, however, if Gunn asked him to return to the role. The film won’t be short on creatures, however: the character of King Shark is slated to appear in the film.
