Barbra Streisand Tweeted a Cartoon of Nancy Pelosi Killing the President
Barbra Streisand is under fire after she posted a political cartoon depicting Rep. Nancy Pelosi killing President Donald Trump.
Streisand posted the cartoon on Twitter this past weekend, which shows Pelosi’s high heel impaling the President, with blood pouring from the wound.
While some insist the political cartoon should be taken in jest, the depiction of violence is not only in poor taste in our current climate, it may be against the law.
Federal law prohibits making threats of violence or inciting violence against a President. The Secret Service has investigated hundreds of Twitter threats in recent years, including some directed at Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
The Secret Service investigates any threat towards the President, regardless of who makes it. Last year, the Secret Service visited Tom Arnold’s house after he made threats against President Trump on Twitter. That means Streisand won’t be getting the benefit of any doubt.
Here is the tweet by Barbra Streisand, along with a screenshot, should she delete the tweet.
Though reactions were split, Streisand earned a far amount of criticism for the nature of the tweet.
Some used Twitter to alert the Secret Service.
@SecretService you might want to investigate this.

Others pointed out the obvious hypocrisy.
So much tolerance.

Why do liberals always promote violence but then condemn it?

Streisand has not addressed the backlash since posting the image.
