80s Metal Band Stryper Reveals Vinyl Collectible From Iconic Album Cover

Stryper, the iconic 1980s heavy metal band, is releasing a limited-edition collectible that will only be available for pre-order in December.

During the month of December, the band’s merchandise site is taking orders for a vinyl collectible of the Stryper Battle Van (you can click here to check the site out). The van is modeled after the one seen on the cover of their 1985 gold-record-selling album “Soldiers Under Command.”

According to the band’s website, the van was bought off of a Hollywood film lot and customized by drummer Robert Sweet with the yellow and black that defined the band’s look. The “Soldiers Under Command” cover is one of the more popular covers among fans.

During the month of December, pre-orders will be taken for the collectible. Once orders are taken, the van will then go into production for delivery around November of next year. The production run will be limited to the number of orders received.

Here’s the announcement of the collectible on the band’s Instagram page.

The van retails for $117.77, and can be ordered by clicking here.
