Kiefer Sutherland’s ‘The Fugitive’ Releases First Teaser Trailer

Kiefer Sutherland is back in action – and on the hunt – in the first teaser trailer for the upcoming show “The Fugitive.”

The show will feature Boyd Holbrook as the fugitive and will be a new spin on both the 1993 Harrison Ford film and the original 1960s TV series.

Sutherland will play Detective Clay Brice, who is out to find the suspect in a deadly bombing. The show is produced by “Scorpion” creator Nick Santora, Thunder Road Films and Warner Bros. TV.

“The Fugitive” will premiere in April on Quibi, a new video app for phones and tablets. Quibi is described as a “short form” video platform, that will feature content from several Hollywood stars and producers. Idris Elba, Steven Spielberg, and Zach Efron will all have shows on the app.

“The Fugitive” centers on blue collar worker Mike Ferro (Holbrook), who is falsely identified as the suspect behind the bombing of a Los Angeles subway train.

Mike must then go on the run to prove his innocence, with Sutherland’s Brice hot on his trail.

Giving the show a new spin will be the realities of today’s social media, where misinformation spreads like wildfire. Online speculation pins him as guilty, putting himself and his family in danger.

The first season of the show will have 14 episodes, according to Internet Movie Database (IMDB). According to Quibi, all show episodes will be less than ten minutes, which we assume will apply to “The Fugitive.”

Here’s the teaser.
