‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ and ‘Cassian Andor’ Disney+ Series Get Working Titles (VIDEO)
Production Weekly, a Hollywood trade publication, has revealed working titles for the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Cassian Andor series for the Disney+ streaming service.
The publication lists current productions, and today’s listing included the two Star Wars series slated for Disney+, featuring Obi-Wan and Rogue One character Cassian Andor.
While no specific information was provided about each series, working titles were listed. “Star Wars: Kenobi” now includes the working title “Pilgrim,” and “Star Wars: Andor” carries the working title “White Snake.”
It is likely useless to speculate about the meaning of the names, which may have no meaning at all. Even so, let’s hope the Cassian Andor series bears no relation to the 1980s rock group Whitesnake.
McGregor recently appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and revealed that, after some delays, production was nearing a start. “We start shooting at the very beginning of next year, they’re in pre-production from this summer, there are scripts that I’ve read that are really good, they’re continuing to write on them to make them even better, and we start very early next year, and I’m excited about it.
“I think the last one I shot was in 2003, so it’s been a while,” he said. “I’m reminding myself by watching their new films and ‘The Mandalorian’ and stuff, I really enjoyed. I keep myself as current as I can with the Lucasfilm world. I don’t think it will take two minutes; I’ll put the cloak back on and I’ll be there, I think.”
