‘The Batman’ Trailer Proves Robert Pattinson is a Convincing Caped Crusader (VIDEO)

We finally have our first look at director Matt Reeves’ take on the Caped Crusader, and critics of his choice of Robert Pattinson to play Bruce Wayne are pretty quiet right now.

The first trailer for The Batman is gritty and riveting, and the impressive cast looks good so far. The trailer focuses on The Riddler (Paul Dano) tormenting Gotham with his mind-bending threats, and gives us our first look at Jeffery Wright as Commissioner Gordon and Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman.

We get a pretty good look at Pattinson both in and out of the Batsuit. The film is set in year two of his work as Batman, and it doesn’t take long to see his Bruce doesn’t go easy on criminals.

We also get a good look at the new Batmobile, but we have yet to see how Colin Farrell’s Penguin figures into the plot.
