‘Chaos Walking’ Drops A First Trailer with Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley (VIDEO)
Rey Skywalker and Galen Erso are teaming up for a new sci-fi adventure, and they’re bringing along Spider-Man for the ride.
Star Wars alums Daisy Ridley and Mads Mikkelsen and Marvel movies actor Tom Holland are headlining Chaos Theory, Lionsgate’s new film based on the young adult sci-fi novel “The Knife of Never Letting Go.” The film opens in theaters on January 22, 2021.
According to a plot summary released by Lionsgate, the film is set in the not too distant future, where Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) lives in Prentisstown, and has been told that a germ killed all the women on the planet and unleashed “the Noise” – a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, Todd discovers a patch of silence out in the swamp, and discovers the source: a girl named Viola (Daisy Ridley), who crash-landed there in her spaceship. With her life threatened, Todd vows to protect her, and he will have to discover his own inner power and unlock the planet’s dark secrets.
Directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow), the film also stars Demián Bichir, Cynthia Erivo, Nick Jonas, Kurt Sutter, and David Oyelowo.
