WATCH: ‘The Suicide Squad’ Drops a New Trailer

James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad has revealed a new trailer, and you can check it out below.

The film, directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and due to be released on August 6 in theaters and on HBO Max, is a “reset” of sorts of David Ayer’s 2016 disastrous Suicide Squad, which was widely panned by critics and comic fans alike. Returning from the Ayer film is the one bright spot: Margot Robbie, who played Harley Quinn. Also returning are Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

New cast members include Idris Elba as Bloodsport, John Cena as Peacemaker, Peter Capaldi as Thinker, Nathan Fillion as T.D.K., Michael Rooker as Savant, and Sylvester Stallone, whose role has not been revealed.

The plot involves the members of the “Squad” traveling to Corto Maltese to destroy a prison and laboratory built by the Nazis called Jotunheim.

Here’s the new poster.

Note: This is a Red-Band Trailer, and not suitable for children.
