Disney’s ‘Cruella’ Releases a New Trailer – With a ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Vibe
Disney seems determined to ruin all of their classic animated characters by giving them disappointing, live-action films. Next up: Cruella De Vil!
Once again, Disney is trying to give a classic villain a softer, vulnerable side for viewers to sympathize with. Never mind that this approach gave us two mediocre Maleficent films, even with Angelina Jolie in the lead. This time, Emma Stone will be humanizing the 101 Dalmatians baddie, even though she is more interesting – and entertaining – as an unapologetic, evil person.
The trailer seems to show that a young Cruella will be in a Devil Wears Prada situation, which will, we assume, trigger her to break bad by the film’s end. We’re bored already.
