The ‘Black Adam’ Trailer is Here!
Get ready to see a whole new side of the DC Universe, with the arrival of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam!
Dwayne Johnson’s dream project is finally coming to theaters, in which he brings the comic anti-hero to life. Also starring in the film is Noah Centineo as Al Rothstein/Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall/Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Maxine Hunkell/Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson/Dr. Fate, who will make up the Justice Society of America. Also starring in the film is Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz/Isis, Marwan Kenzari, and Mo Amer.
The film will be an origin story, showing how Black Adam was given the power of the gods, only to suffer great personal loss and be imprisoned for nearly 5,000 years. Now freed from his earthly tomb, he unleashes his unique and brutal justice on the world. As the trailer shows, he runs afoul of the JSA, leading to a fight between the classic characters.
Back in 2019, Johnson announced a December 2021 release date, but the COVID pandemic pushed that forward nearly a year.
