‘Moonhaven’ Season 2’s Fate Decided

Moonhaven, the hit sci-fi series for AMC+, has been renewed for a second season.

The series, set 100 years in the future, follows lunar cargo pilot and smuggler Bella Sway (Emma McDonald), who is stranded on a paradise-like moon colony when she is accused of a crime. With civilization on Earth under threat, Bella teams up with a detective named Paul Serno (Dominic Monaghan) after she discovers a conspiracy to control the technology behind the Moonhaven colony.

The series also stars Amara Karan, Ayelet Zurer, Joe Manganiello, Kadeem Hardison, and Yazzmin Newell.

Season 2 of the series will have six episodes, just like season 1, which just aired its finale in early August, earning strong reviews and high ratings. A start of production has not been announced, but the new season is expected to air in 2023.

Peter Ocko (Elementary, Black Sails) created the series and is also the show’s executive producer and showrunner. “I couldn’t be more excited to return to the Moon and continue our story with this amazing cast and crew,” he said in a statement. Deb Spera also executive produces for AMC Studios.
