Harrison Ford Meets Fans on ‘Indy 5’ Set (VIDEO)

Harrison Ford gave Indiana Jones fans in Italy an experience they’ll never forget, according to posts on social media.

Ford is currently in Sicily filming Indiana Jones 5, and took time between takes to pose for pictures with fans, which were then uploaded to social media.

Filming has resumed for the latest Indy installment, after the 79-year-old Ford injured his shoulder practicing for a fight scene. The injury required surgery, and filming was delayed three months.

On a Sicily street made up in a 1960s motif – the era the new film is set in – Ford took time between takes to mingle with fans and pose for pictures, while still in costume. Many of the fans themselves were cosplaying as Indy (except for one guy dressed as Sean Connery’s Henry Jones Sr.), making for a surreal picture.

While we don’t know the exact plot to the film, we do know Rogue One actor Mads Mikkelsen is playing a villain, and he was seen on the Sicily set as well, as social media pictures revealed.

Sky News posted video of Harrison Ford meeting fans on their Twitter account.

Video of Ford being driven to the set in Sicily also hit Twitter.

This wasn’t the first time Ford was seen interacting with fans visiting the Indy 5 set. Earlier this summer, Ford was captured by photographers joking with a young boy who lived in the village of Grosmont in North Yorkshire, England, where he was filming.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Thomas Kretschmann are also part of the cast. James Mangold (Logan, Ford vs. Ferrari) will direct, replacing Steven Spielberg, who is serving as a producer. Composer John Williams, who scored all of the previous installments, is returning for the film as well.
