Watch William Shatner’s Entire Blue Origin Spaceflight (VIDEO)

Blue Origin has posted the entire webcast of New Shepard Mission NS-18, the flight that sent William Shatner into space. The video is included below.

The flight, which launched and landed at Blue Origin’s West Texas facility near Van Horn, made history because of Shatner. The actor, who played Captain James T. Kirk in Star Trek TV shows and films, became the oldest person to ever go into space, at the age of 90. Joining him were three other civilians: entrepreneur Dr. Chris Boshuizen, microbiologist Glen de Vries, and Blue Origin staffer Audrey Powers.

The mission lasted only 10 minutes and 17 seconds, as Shatner and the crew traveled 65.8 miles into the atmosphere, to the very edge of space. The four experienced three to four minutes of weightlessness before returning with a parachute-aided landing.

Blue Origin is owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who saw the astronauts off and greeted them upon their return.

After the flight, an emotional Shatner discussed the experience, which is seen in the video. “It was so moving to me. This experience is something unbelievable…I’m so filled with emotion about what just happened. It’s extraordinary…I hope I never recover from this. I hope that I can maintain what I feel now. I don’t want to lose it.”

Before the launch, Shatner posted this on Twitter.

This tweet from Blue Origin features Shatner’s reaction inside the capsule to seeing the earth from space.
