‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Villains Take Center Stage in New Trailer

It took over a year for Marvel to finally release a trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and now we have a second trailer, with the highly-anticipated film now one month away.

The movie, opens December 17, has driven Marvel fans crazy with the prospect of the Multiverse fully opening up, allowing characters from other Spider-Man movie franchises to cross over.

The trailers confirm that previous cinematic versions of Doctor Octopus, Electro, The Green Goblin, Sandman, and The Lizard all appear in the film, but despite all sorts of evidence and online rumors, Marvel and Sony have yet to confirm that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will appear as their version of the web-slinger.

However, this international version of the trailer (which only lasts a minute) has a quick shot of The Lizard being punched by an invisible opponent, leaving many to believe both Maquire and Garfield were digitally removed from shots to avoid spoilers.

Sony and Marvel Studios released this synopsis for the film.

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn, J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, J.B. Smoove as Julius Dell, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Angourie Rice as Betty Brant, and Hannibal Buress as Coach Wilson.
