‘Peacemaker’ Gets Season 2 Renewal, James Gunn Says

HBO Max has renewed the DC superhero series Peacemaker for a second season, creator James Gunn has announced.

The announcement comes just one day before the season one finale airs on the premium streaming service.

The Suicide Squad spinoff series stars John Cena in the lead, with Robert Patrick, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, and Steve Agee.

“That’s right, #Peacemaker is coming back for Season Two,” he announced on Twitter. “Thanks to Peter Safran, @JohnCena, our incredible cast & crew, our wildly supportive & lovely friends at @HBOMax – and mostly all of you for watching!”
