Bruce Springsteen Says Donald Trump is Un-American (VIDEO)

Iconic singer Bruce Springsteen is taking his shots at President Donald Trump in a new interview with CBS. While speaking with “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King, Springsteen questioned whether the President understood America’s values.

Springsteen was asked about President Trump’s recent critical comments about him. At the recent Minneapolis rally, President Trump boasted that he “didn’t need little Bruce Springsteen,” a reference to the singer’s support for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

The 70-year-old singer voiced his fear of living in the Trump era, and blasted the President as un-American. “It’s just frightening, you know? We’re living in a frightening time,” Springsteen said.

“The stewardship of the nation is — has been thrown away to somebody who doesn’t have a clue as to what that means … And unfortunately, we have somebody who I feel doesn’t have a grasp of the deep meaning of what it means to be an American,” Springsteen claimed.

Springsteen’s pointed criticism of the President is nothing new. He once called President Trump a “moron,” and he even performed at a Clinton rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the day before Election Day.

Trump would win Pennsylvania, and the Presidency, the next day.

At that rally, Springsteen said that Trump was “a man whose vision is limited to little beyond himself, who has the profound lack of decency.”

Springsteen would also say that Trump was “Somebody who would be willing to damage our long-cherished and admired system rather than look to himself for the reasons behind his own epic failure. And that’s unforgivable.”

He then predicted “Tomorrow (Election Day), those ideas and that campaign is going down.”

Fast forward to 2019, and Springsteen has not changed his tune. While speaking with CBS to promote his new film, “Western Stars,” which features new music, he was singing the same political tune.
