Travel to a Galaxy Far, Far Away!…in 2019…

Back in 2015, Star Wars Land was officially announced at the D23 expo. It wasn’t until recently that we got a little more info on when it will be opening and what all will be part of the area. Star Wars Land will open in 2019 in both Disneyland in Anaheim, CA and Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL. The new area will feature actors in alien costumes, interactive droids, a life-sized Millennium Falcon, Star Wars-esque buildings, and new Star Wars rides.

“Our intent is to make it feel as if you’ve just walked into one of the movies,” Imagineering executive Scott Trowbridge said of the parks. “Bringing Star Wars to life in the physical world gives us the opportunity to play with a whole bunch of things we’ve never done before, to really engage all of the senses.”
