Han Solo Anthology Film Begins Production
This will be a day long remembered! The Han Solo anthology film began production today, and this first cast photo was released.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are co-directing the film, and the cast photo includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, with Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Thandie Newton, who is not included in the photo, plays a character who has yet to be identified. Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens) wrote the script with his son Jon.
“Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous,” Lord and Miller said. “We can’t think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky.”
The Han Solo anthology film opens May 25, 2018.
