WATCH: First Trailer for ‘The Kid’ Starring Ethan Hawke and Chris Pratt

Lionsgate has released the first trailer for The Kid, a western that marks the directoral debut of Vincent D’Onofio.

The film follows Rio (Jake Schur), a young boy trying to save his sister (Leila George) from his villainous uncle (Chris Pratt). Their paths cross with Sheriff Pat Garrett (Ethan Hawke) and the outlaw Billy the Kid (Dane DeHaan), and their destinies become intertwined.

The film reunites D’Onofrio, Hawke, and Pratt, who all starred in Antoine Fuqua’s 2016 western remake The Magnificent Seven.

Lionsgate also released an image of the one-sheet movie poster.

The film opens March 8. It is rated R for violence and language.
