Leaked ‘Star Wars Episode IX’ Poster Reveals Knights of Ren, C-3PO With a Gun

A poster for Star Wars: Episode IX has leaked online, providing fans with their first look at several new characters and the confirmation of the return of the Knights of Ren.

The poster (included below) was first shown online by Making Star Wars (click here), who claimed it was likely a poster made for retail sale. That appears to be the case, although it is also possible that it is a limited edition poster made for distribution at Celebration next month.

The Knights of Ren, who were seen briefly in The Force Awakens, are featured prominently in the poster. Kylo Ren is also seen wearing his mask again, correcting one of the criticisms from fans about his character arc in The Last Jedi.

C-3PO is seen wearing Chewbacca’s bandolier and bowcaster, although we don’t know the context. BB-8 is shown, but R2-D2 is nowhere to be seen.

Also missing is Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Lando Calrissian, who have all been confirmed as appearing in the film. However, the poster does give us a new look at new characters Jannah (standing to the right of Chewie and played by Naomi Ackie) and Zorii (the woman in the helmet), who is played by Keri Russell.

There are reports that Jannah is Lando’s daughter, but that is unconfirmed.

Also featured in the poster are a line of red Stormtroopers. Reportedly, this elite unit will answer directly to Kylo and the Knights of Ren.

Here is the poster.

Star Wars: Episode IX opens in theaters on December 20, 2019.
