E3: Arcade1Up Announces Ninja Turtles, Marvel Video Game Cabinets (VIDEO)

Arcade1Up will release “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Marvel Super Heroes as part of its wildly popular video game cabinet collection.

According to a report from Forbes, the new machines are being announced at E3, and models will be on display at the Arcade1Up booth on the show floor.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cabinet will include two games: the classic 1989 “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and the sequel, 1991’s “Turtles in Time.”

The Marvel Super Heroes machine will three classic Capcom games: “Marvel Super Heroes,” “X-Men Children of the Atom,” and “The Punisher.”

Many will recognize 1995’s “Marvel Super Heroes” for resembling the far more popular “Marvel vs. Capcom,” which was released in 1998. That crossover game is not included in the cabinet, and the “Marvel Super Heroes” game features the most popular Marvel characters fighting each other tournament-style.

The cabinets will be released later this year, but an exact date was not announced.

Arcade1Up Cabinet Pics

This photo shows the joystick setup on the “Ninja Turtles” game, which will be the first Arcade1Up cabinet for four players. At only four feet high, Arcade1Up cabinets can make it difficult for more than two players to squeeze in and play at the same time.

This photo shows the “Marvel Super Heroes” game, and if you look closely, you can see a portion of a Marvel-themed riser along the bottom, that appears to have a comic page motiff and Marvel logo.

For those who are not familiar with Arcade1Up, the company produces a “riser,” which can be purchased separately, and boosts the height of the cabinet by a foot, which makes it easier to play without hunching over. The risers are generic, with an Arcade1Up logo, so it appears this will be a riser specifically suited for the Marvel cabinet.
