Watch the First Trailer for ‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie’

Saturday afternoon, Netflix released a teaser trailer for the long-awaited Breaking Bad movie.

Titled El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, the trailer’s release comes hours after Netflix mistakenly (or maybe purposefully) posted a placeholder in its app for the film, shocking many who saw it. It was only available for a few minutes before Netflix took it down, but screenshots quickly circulated online.

Here’s how the placeholder looked, which appeared to be a work in progress and did not include a picture.

The placeholder appears to reveal that the plot revolves around Aaron Paul’s character of Jesse Pinkman, which was expected. Show creator Vince Gilligan is listed as writer and producer.

Shortly after the placeholder was removed, the trailer appeared on YouTube and social media, which announced a release date of October 11.

The teaser features fan favorite character Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) talking about Jesse being on the run.

Here’s the trailer.

It should be noted that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) is not mentioned in the placeholder or the trailer.

Earlier this week Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman) revealed that the film had already been filmed, seemingly without fans discovering it.
