Watch the First Trailer for ‘Bill and Ted Face the Music’

The first trailer for Bill and Ted Face the Music is here, and it is…wait for it…most excellent.

The film, which opens August 21, picks up the story of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan some 30 years after their last adventure.

Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter return in the lead roles, and William Sadler reprises the role of Death. Hal Landon Jr. returns as Captain Logan.

They are joined by Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Kid Cudi, Kristen Schaal, Anthony Carrigan, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Jillian Bell, Holland Taylor, Beck Bennett, and Amy Stoch.

Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) is directing from a screenplay by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, the writers of the original films.
